A native of Yonkers, NY,Crystal Glenn (Suor Osmina in Suor Angelica), recently graduated from Manhattan School of Music with her Master of Music degree in Voice Performance. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, NJ. Crystal has earned several merit based awards and scholarships from Manhattan School of Music, Westminster Choir College Voice Award (First Place 2011, Second Place 2013), Five Towns Music & Art (Third Place), Harlem Opera Theater (Second Place), NFAA-YoungArts (Finalist) in Miami, FL to name a few. Crystal has participated in the British and Wagner Art Song Festivals in 2012 and 2013 at Westminster Choir College. She has performed opera scenes such as Vixen in The Cunning Little Vixen, Rebecca in Two Boys, Monica in The Medium, Madame Mao in Nixon in China, Ilia in Idomeneo and Susanna and Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro. She has been selected to perform in master classes by singers such as Christine Goerke, Ruth Ann Swenson, Laquita Mitchell, and Anthony Roth Costanzo. This past spring, she participated in Manhattan School of Music’s Discover Opera outreach program, which focused on serving school and nursing home audiences in the New York City area. In recent years, Crystal has been a summer artist at New York Summer Opera Scenes in New York City and Le Chiavi di Bel Canto in Houston, TX.
